Epson Workforce WF 7720- Features
Design
The Epson WF-7720 is relatively large and bulky compared to other inkjet printers. Due to its weight of 40 pounds, you’ll find that it’s going to be tricky to transport the printer. Additionally, the printer has a large footprint that requires a lot of space in order to be accommodated.
Despite being primarily made from plastic, the Epson WorkForce WF-7720 printer is incredibly durable and well-built. Especially the front input tray and the automatic document feeder (ADF), which are more likely to be damaged, are pretty strong. Furthermore, you can set the paper output tray in various sizes according to your printing needs. During scanning, the lid of the ADF can also be removed to eliminate any obstructions.
Unfortunately, switching to “Ink Replacement” from the menu takes time, which can be frustrating if you’re pressed for time. Moreover, it can be challenging to find the right place to position the scanner’s lid.
Touch Screen Display
Epson Workforce Wf 7720 has a touch-enabled 4.3″ color LCD screen that provides easy navigation through gestures and audible feedback. You can tilt the display console upwards, but somehow, the screen is hard to see from the side. Right beside the screen, you will find physical buttons for managing print jobs and a Numpad for faxing.
Printing Speed
Workforce WF 7720, Epson is a high-performance printer that offers black printing speeds of 18 pages per minute, color printing speeds of 10 pages per minute, and duplex printing speeds of 8.7 ppm ( black) and 6 ppm in color.
Printing Quality
The Epson 7720 is powered by one of Epson’s new print technologies – PrecisionCore 2S printhead, which provides a 4800 x 2400 dpi resolution for maximum print quality. Moreover, wide format printing enhances its ability to print 13″x19″ without a border.
High-volume printing
For high-volume printing, Epson 7720 offers extra-large, high-capacity ink cartridges. Moreover, it has a capacity of holding 500 sheets in dual trays, plus a rear feed for specialty paper and 125 sheets of the output tray.
Scanning
A vital feature of the Epson WF-7720 is its excellent scanning capabilities. Not only does it have a flatbed scanner, but it also includes a sheetfed scanner with an automatic document feeder (ADF), which can scan documents up to 11 inches by 17 inches (tabloid format). The document feeder can even handle duplex scanning of documents up to 11″ x 17″.
Affordability
Compared to laser printers, the Epson 7720 uses up to 80 percent less power and saves up to 50 percent on paper with automatic dual-sided printing.
Connectivity Feature
This Epson WF-7720 is versatile and has excellent connectivity capabilities, both wired and wireless. You can connect it either wirelessly or by employing Ethernet, a WiFi router, or via WiFi Direct. However, it lacks Bluetooth, but it is compatible with AirPrint and Mopria. Additionally, it also supports voice-activated printing through Alexa.
