The Cricut easy press is being used over the heat press for sublimating a t-shirt. The Cricut easy press is a thermal tool that is meant to help you add iron-on material to your design. For the great majority of people who deal with iron, the Cricut simple press is the best option. Its cost is almost the same as that of the cheapest heat press machine, but it has added the benefit of being smaller and sharper.

The Cricut easy press operates similarly to a regular iron but It can maintain heat temperature and time setting. The Cricut press is especially useful if you are working on small businesses.

Step-by-step process to sublimate a T-Shirt by using Cricut Easy Press

  1. Designing
  2. Printing
  3. Design Placement
  4. Setting Cricut Easy Press
  5. Final Outcome

Designing

From the start, we create our design using Cricut Design Space. There are several pre-existing templates and designs in the circuit design space. Using templates, you can test your design before printing. In the Cricut design space, you can browse for designs of your choice. Alternatively, you can use software like Adobe Illustrator, Coral Draw, Serif Affinity, and Gimp to create designs.

Printing

After the designs are prepared, we print them on sublimation paper using a sublimation printer, then place them on an Easy press mat and cut the design using the Cricut machine.

Design Placement

Ensure that the fabric or shirt is wrinkle-free and moisturized and then place the printed design on it. Tape the printed image on a t-shirt so it doesn’t move during the process.

Setting Cricut Easy Press

There are different heating modes in the Cricut heat press machine. Therefore, it is vital to choose the right time and temperature. The Cricut heat press machine heats up very quickly and reaches a maximum temperature of 400 degrees. To transfer the print on the t-shirt, we press the Cricut Easy Press at 350°F for one minute

Final Outcome

Simply hold the easy press for a minute while your design is printed and pasted properly on the t-shirt. Next, remove the transfer paper to reveal the final design.

Washing Instruction:

  • Avoid dry cleaning.
  • It is recommended to wash and dry clothes from the inside out.

Questions you might have:

Can you use a Cricut heat press for sublimation?

Yes, you can use a Cricut heat press for sublimation. However, it is important to note that the Cricut EasyPress 2 and EasyPress 3 are not specifically designed for sublimation. They are designed for heat transfer vinyl (HTV). Sublimation requires a higher temperature than HTV, so it is important to use the correct settings on your Cricut heat press.
